Fox Lake Community Gathering Place

A new 1550 sq.m. (16,500 sq.ft.) administration complex for the Fox Lake Cree Nation to be located in Gillam, Manitoba. The complex includes administration offices, a community gathering place with kitchen, a day care, a youth centre, elder's lounge, craft areas, library, archives and classrooms. The building is designed to achieve LEED® Silver. It is also designed for an extreme northern climate and respectful to the rugged terrain. The project is currently in design development. Estimated construction cost is $7,500,000. (FT3 / REal)
